We recently asked some of our donors why they give to LIYFC. Here’s what one of them said:
Why faithfully give to Long Island Youth For Christ? It comes down to gratitude for the life changes that took place in me and the hope that what God did through LIYFC in my life could be duplicated in the lives of today’s young people. As a pastor I will never forget the call of God to become a pastor at a LIYFC retreat when I was sixteen years old.
Through good teaching and caring staff my eyes were opened to God sized possibilities.
Add to this, I met my future wife at another LIYFC retreat. Put this all together and I am full of gratitude. But there is more, the needs of today’s young adults, while similar to my own are different in how they hear the Gospel.
LIYFC remains on the cutting edge of seeking to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit as to how best reach students today. As I see it LIYFC is one of the best investments my wife and I ever made.
